1. What is the advantage of a custom rod?
answer: A custom rod has several advantages. First, it is a rod that
is built for you and only you. This will set it apart from the
off-the-shelf rods you see. Second, the colors and design of the
wrapping and reel seat will complement the basic color of the rod blank.
Third, The grip can be made with a combination of materials for
a unique appearance plus made to fit your individual hand.

2. What choices do I have?
answer: There is an endless number of blanks, thread and design,
guides, grips, and reel seats.

3. How do I specify what I want in a rod?
answer: Click on "Contact" on the menu and give me an idea of
what you want as to length, line weight, action, and the main species
of fish you pursue. You may also spec a specific blank, reel seat, grip,
or other component, wrapping colors, and so forth. The "links" page can
provide some guidance. I will respond with a proposal, or request
additional information if needed.

4. What does a custom rod cost?
answer: The cost is going to depend on a number of factors. Like cars,
you can go from economy to luxury. If you are on a budget for your rod,
we can work around a specific figure and come up with a custom rod that
fits both your needs and your budget.
